Elantxobe
The charm of a fishing village, genuine and unique; that’s Elantxobe. It is built on a hillside overlooking the sea, sheltered by Cape Ogoño, with stepped buildings and narrow, steep streets that lead down to the port. Without a doubt one of the most picturesque villages on the Basque coast.
Elantxobe is perfect for a road trip along the coast. Leaving Hotel Branka, you will arrive in less than half an hour to this seaside village that will not leave you indifferent.
The upper part of Elantxobe has impressive viewpoints where you can marvel at panoramic views of both the urban center of the town and the coast. A must-visit are the church of San Nicolás de Bari and the Kale Nagusia, the main street of the town famous for its steep slope.
In the lower area of the town is where most of the leisure activities in Elantxobe are concentrated. It is here where we find the port, with a wide variety of bars and restaurants to enjoy the delicious local cuisine in good company. Additionally, in summer you can immerse yourself in the natural pools of the area and cool off with the waters of the Cantabrian Sea.
